Motions

ADVANCE SUBMISSION AND AVAILABILITY OF MOTIONS

Presubmitted motions will ordinarily be given priority at the Meeting over motions submitted from the floor. A member who contemplates proposing an amendment to a draft should send the exact text, together with a brief supporting statement, to the Institute’s Philadelphia office for arrival there no later than Tuesday, May 10. Submitted materials will be reproduced and distributed at the Meeting. Motions submitted electronically by 12 noon (EDT) on Thursday, May 12, will be posted on the ALI website. Submission by Tuesday, May 10, will assure availability of paper copies to all who attend the meeting. Text should be transmitted to the Institute’s Director of Administrative Services, Joseph A. Mendicino, Jr., as an e-mail attachment to ali@ali.org or on a disk in MS Word or WordPerfect format sent to 4025 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104-3099. The Institute’s fax number, if needed, is 215-243-1636.

Members who submit written motions after May 10th, including at the Meeting itself, are asked to supply their own paper copies in sufficient number for distribution in the registration area and meeting room. Please also bring a disk containing the submission for on-screen projection during consideration of the motion.
