The first volume of the official text of Restatement Third, Property (Wills and Other Donative Transfers), which contains all of Division I of the new Restatement, is now available. This self-contained segment covering probate transfers, both testate and intestate, was approved at the 1998 Annual Meeting for publication in advance of the rest of the Restatement, which is still in progress. It supersedes and considerably expands upon the material on wills found primarily in Chapter 33 of Restatement Second and includes extensive coverage of intestacy as well.

The hardcover edition (Order No. 6133 --Order this item ) can be obtained for $95 plus postage and handling from the Institute’s Customer Service Department, 4025 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104-3099 (telephone: 1-800-CLE-NEWS, extension 7000; fax: 215-243-1664.) A softcover edition will be published in June.
