Intellectual Property: Principles Governing Jurisdiction, Choice of Law, and Judgments in Transnational Disputes

Purpose:
In response to problems involving dissemination of intellectual property, chiefly via the Internet, this project is developing principles governing transnational intellectual property disputes.

Status:
The project received final approval on May 14, 2007, when the membership approved the Proposed Final Draft for publication as the official text of the Institute. The Reporters are making revisions pursuant to the discussion at the Annual Meeting, and the official text is expected to be published by July 2008.

Drafts:
To date, four Preliminary Drafts, two Council Drafts, one Discussion Draft, and a Proposed Final Draft have been produced.
