Legal and Economic Principles of World Trade Law

Purpose:
This project involves the analysis of case law from the adjudicating bodies of the WTO; each case is jointly evaluated by an expert in trade law and an expert in international economics. The project Reporters and authors also are undertaking several studies of trade law.
Status:
Case studies covering nine years of WTO Panel and Appellate Body decisions, as well as a related study, The Genesis of the GATT, have been published by Cambridge University Press. In order to increase their exposure, the authors’ manuscripts of case analyses as submitted to the publisher are available for free download. (The final published texts may contain editing or additional material not found in the online manuscripts.) Click on the links in the Public Files section below to view the manuscripts.
The project continues with studies on National Treatment and Border Instruments.
