Andy Penry

I am a trial lawyer based in Raleigh, NC, and licensed in NC, SC, FL, and CA. My private practice consisted exclusively of commercial litigation and arbitration, focusing on construction and securities matters. I served as a law clerk to our local federal district judge and then practiced in national firms until 2000 when my partner and I started our own small litigation firm. In addition to my law practice, I serve as an adjunct professor at the Wake Forest University School of Law. I also served as the Chair of the North Carolina State Board of Elections, as a member of the Election Assistance Commission Advisory Board and as a member of the Election Law Committee of the Uniform Law Commission. I currently serve as the Deputy Securities Administrator and head of the Securities Division of the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State.
