George holds the Charles B. Cox III and Lucy D. Cox Family Chair in Law and Liberty at Vanderbilt University where she is also a Professor of Political Science.  She is the Director of the Cecil D. Branstetter Litigation and Dispute Resolution Program.  She brings a social science perspective to the study of judges and courts, judicial selection and elections, legal education and the legal profession, and contract law and theory.  Professor George was previously a tenured faculty member at Northwestern University and the University of Missouri-Columbia.
