Cory Manning is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in Columbia, SC, where he practices in the areas of corporate investigations, securities litigation, business litigation, and class action defense. He has been with the firm since 2005 and co-chairs the Government Investigations and White Collar Defense practice group.

Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Mr. Manning practiced law at Cooley Godward in Palo Alto, CA, from 2000 to 2005. Before that, he clerked for Judge Robert M. Parker of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 1999 to 2000.

From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Manning practiced at Ness, Motley, Loadholt, Richardson & Poole in Charleston, SC, where he represented state attorneys general in the Medicaid recoupment litigation against the tobacco industry.

He is a Board Member of the Central Carolina Community Foundation, a Former Vice President and Board Member of the South Carolina Philharmonic, and was an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina Law School where he taught Business Torts.
