Terry Fromson is the managing attorney at the Women’s Law Project. Her entire legal career has been devoted to public interest law. Ms. Fromson is responsible for overseeing all of the WLP’s legal work and engages in impact litigation and policy initiatives. She has worked extensively at the local, state, and national levels on a wide variety of issues. She has brought litigation seeking redress for sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, and inequities in athletic programs.
Primary among her policy advocacy initiatives are efforts to achieve equal access to insurance, legal protection for battered women in the welfare system, improved and coordinated response to domestic violence and sexual assault in Philadelphia, and access to justice for pro se litigants in Philadelphia Family Court. Ms. Fromson received her law degree from NYU Law School and has been on the staff of the WLP since 1994.
She currently serves as an Adviser on the Model Penal Code: Sexual Assault and Related Offenses project.
