Aaron Twerski Recognized for Tort Law Contribution

Aaron Twerski of Brooklyn Law School will be presented with the William L. Prosser Award during the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Annual Meeting on January 8, 2016. The Award recognizes law professors who make significant contributions to the scholarship, teaching and service in torts and compensation systems.

Professor Twerski serves as special counsel to the law firm of Herzfeld and Rubin, and he was appointed as a special master in the federal 9/11 cases dealing with the injuries claimed by those involved in the clean-up of the World Trade Center site.

During his work as co-Reporter for ALI’s Restatement of the Law (Third) Torts: Product Liability, Professor Twerski was named the R. Ammi Cutter Reporter's Chair, an Award given by ALI to current Reporters who have proven effectiveness.
