ALI Members Join UC Berkeley Law Privacy Lecture

UC Berkeley School of Law Ninth Annual Privacy Lecture will feature ALI members Robert C. Post of Yale Law School, and Eugene Volokh of UCLA School of Law. The lecture, Google Spain & the Right to be Forgotten: Bureaucracy, Civility, Democracy will center on Google Spain’s recent choice to implement EU fair information practices on their search engines, citing the “Right to Be Forgotten.”

Dean Post will use the complicated relationship between internet search engines and the creation of the contemporary public sphere to discuss if and in which manner privacy should be imposed on in the form of fair information practices.

Dean Post (Adviser) and Professor Volokh (MCG participant) serve on the Principles of the Law, Data Privacy project.

The lecture will take place October 6 at the Bancroft Hotel in Berkeley, CA.
