Cary Coglianese Co-Chairs Panel Providing Recommendations on Drinking Water Policy
The new report from the American Water Works Association “Improving the Evaluation of Household-Level Affordability in SDWA Rulemaking: New Approaches” details how household affordability should be considered in drinking water policy decisions. The recommendations in the report come from a 10-member panel co-chaired by Cary Coglianese of University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
“This report offers a roadmap toward improved analysis of a growing water affordability crisis in the United States,” said Coglianese in the announcement. “Meaningful universal access to safe, life-sustaining water is increasingly put at risk by infrastructure demands and other factors driving up the costs of basic water services.”
