ALI member Jay W. Waks has been appointed American Kennel Club’s (AKC) Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining the AKC, Mr. Waks retired as partner in Kaye Scholer LLP, where he had concentrated on complex commercial litigation, alternate dispute resolution, employment and labor law for over 43 years.

Mr. Waks is currently a Members Consultative Group participant for the Model Penal Code: Sexual Assault and Related Offenses project, and was Adviser to ALI's 2015 Restatement of the Law, Employment Law.
