John Bellinger Presents Cutler Lecture

ALI Council Member, John B. Bellinger, III of Arnold & Porter LLP presented the Sixth Annual Lloyd N. Cutler Lecture on November 20. In his lecture, “Law and the Use of Force: Challenges for the Next President,” Mr. Bellinger discussed the domestic and international law limits on the use of force by the President, reflecting on the last two Presidencies and looking ahead to the legal challenges for the next President.
The Cutler Lectureship was presented during the Salzburg Global Seminar hosted by Justice Anthony Kennedy of the Supreme Court of the United States. It is presented annually and features a distinguished speaker on a vital legal issue of international interest.
