Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar Gives Commencement Speech at Stanford University
Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar of the Supreme Court of California was this year's Commencement speaker at Stanford University's graduation ceremony on June 18. A Stanford alumnus, Justice Cuéllar encouraged graduates to bridge divides as they move on from college life.
"The opportunity to see these divides - to bridge them - now passes to you," Justice Cuéllar said addressing the graduates. "Take from your experience here what you need. Keep at it, because we rarely persuade people we don't understand."
