Mary Massaron heads the appellate practice group at Plunkett Cooney, and handles appeals at all levels of state and federal appellate courts. She has been a regular before the Michigan Supreme Court, where she clerked for Justice Patricia J. Boyle. She has also appeared more than 100 times on behalf of clients with matters in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. A former president of DRI, and president-elect of Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ), Massaron handles civil appeals involving commercial, class action, products liability, insurance, and civil rights on behalf of private and government clients. Massaron co-chairs the Michigan Appellate Bench Bar Conference Foundation, an organization of Michigan appellate justices, judges, and lawyers which plans and presents an appellate bench bar conference every three years.
