Joseph Matthews is a business litigation lawyer at Colson Hicks & Edison. He joined the firm in 1989 after spending more than a decade as a named partner in a business law firm in Miami.
Mr. Matthews is a fellow, member of the board of directors and Vice President of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers; a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He now serves Of Counsel to the firm, representing clients in business and commercial litigation and arbitration, including contract and insurance disputes, fraud, defamation and professional liability.
Before joining the firm, he served as Special Counsel to U.S. Senator Bob Graham. Mr. Matthews is a Florida Certified Circuit Mediator and serves as mediator in commercial, construction and personal injury cases pending in state and federal courts of the United States, as well as in commercial or investment arbitration disputes internationally.
