The American Law Institute Elects 68 New Members

The American Law Institute (ALI) today announced the names of 68 newly elected members. This diverse group of highly accomplished lawyers, judges, and law professors includes four new international members, along with Americans from 24 states and one U.S. territory.

"Welcoming a new class of members is always a rewarding task for me. The work we do would not be possible without members who are the intellectual leaders in their areas of law and who generously give of their time because of the importance of our projects." said ALI President Roberta Cooper Ramo.

"Our process for electing new members is extensive and careful. We are always striving to ensure that we look at issues from all viewpoints. After scrutinizing the backgrounds and credentials of this impressive new group of members, I am confident they will make tremendous contributions to ALI's work for years to come."
