Deborah Archer To Speak at UConn Law Commencement

As part of the University of Connecticut School of Law’s 100th commencement, Deborah N. Archer of NYU Law will deliver the keynote address.

“I’m honored by Dean Nelson’s invitation to speak at commencement,” Archer said in the announcement. “I look forward to celebrating the graduates’ achievements and welcoming them to a profession that has become increasingly important in the struggle to pursue justice and preserve democracy.”

Archer is director of the Clinical and Advocacy Programs and the Associate Dean for Experiential Education and Clinical Program at NYU Law. She is also president of the American Civil Liberties Union and a leading expert in civil rights, civil liberties, and racial justice.

UConn Law’s commencement will take place on May 14.
