‘Safeguarding Democracy Project’ at UCLA School of Law

UCLA School of Law has launched the Safeguarding Democracy Project, aimed at ensuring free and fair elections in the United States. Headed by Richard L. Hasen, who recently joined the law faculty of UCLA, the project will promote research, events, and advocacy aimed at ensuring election integrity.
When asked about the project and its advisory board, Hasen said, “We have come together to look at how we can strengthen democratic institutions, public confidence in elections, and the rule of law. The matter is urgent.”
