The American Bar Association (ABA) has announced the recipients of the 2023 Spirit of Excellence Award, given by the ABA’s Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession.
This award is given to lawyers that promote a more racially and ethnically diverse legal profession. Its recipients excel in their professional setting, personify excellence on the national, state, or local level, and have demonstrated a commitment to racial and ethnic diversity in law.
ALI members receiving the award are Roger L. Gregory of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Goodwin H. Liu of the California Supreme Court.
