ALI Director Richard Revesz appeared before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Energy and Power, testifying that that the EPA’s Clean Power Plan is well-justified under the Clean Air Act and the Constitution. The hearing “EPA’s CO2 Regulations for New and Existing Power Plants: Legal Perspectives” examined the two final rules and a third proposed rule to regulate carbon dioxide emissions from new and existing fossil fuel-fired power plants.
In addition to his role at ALI, Director Revesz is the Lawrence King Professor of Law and Dean Emeritus at New York University School of Law and the Director of the Institute for Policy Integrity at NYU, a non-partisan think tank dedicated to improving the quality of government decision making through advocacy and scholarship in the fields of administrative law, economics, and public policy.
