Araceli Martínez-Olguín Confirmed to Northern District of California

The U.S. Senate has voted to approve the appointment of Araceli Martínez-Olguín to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Martínez-Olguín was originally nominated by President Biden for the position in 2022. Following the adjournment of the Second Session of the 117th Congress, she was renominated on January 3, 2023.

Martínez-Olguín has worked as supervising attorney for the National Immigration Law Center since 2018. She has previously worked for the Immigrant’s Rights Project, Community Legal Services and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights.
