UVA School of Law professor A. Benjamin Spencer was appointed to the Advisory Committee on Civil Rules of the Judicial Conference of the United States by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. His appointment is effective October 1. Professor Spencer was also tapped to annually update a portion of Federal Practice and Procedure guidebooks.
