ALI Council member Elizabeth Garrett of Cornell University has been selected to receive the University of Virginia’s 2016 Distinguished Alumna Award. The award, presented by the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women’s Center, was established to honor alumnae who have brought progress to society through their contributions. President Garrett will be presented with the award on April 29, where she will also discuss leadership in higher education.
President Garrett is an Adviser for the Project on Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct on Campus: Procedural Frameworks and Analysis, as well as the Principles of the Law, Government Ethics project.
