Jeffrey Beaver Honored with LMBA Lifetime Achievement Award

August 14, 2018

Jeffrey Beaver of Miller Nash Graham & Dunn was presented a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Loren Miller Bar Association. Mr. Beaver was unanimously selected by the association’s executive board to receive the award in recognition of his accomplished legal career, his leadership on the issue of inquest reform, and his ongoing commitment to enhancing diversity and providing access to justice in the legal system.

"We were overjoyed to hear that Jeffrey will be recognized for both his distinguished career and his tireless pursuit of legal and social change," said Kieran Curley, managing partner of Miller Nash Graham & Dunn. "Jeffrey has never shied away from tackling some of the most difficult issues of our day. In fact, he’s worked since the beginning of his career to lessen the impact of inequality and injustice in our communities. Having Jeffrey recognized with this Lifetime Achievement Award is a proud occasion for the firm and his colleagues and friends."

About the Loren Miller Bar Association
The Loren Miller Bar Association (LMBA) is a statewide civil rights organization, named after famed civil rights attorney Loren Miller. For the past 50 years, the LMBA has thrived in its efforts to advance the social and economic wellbeing of people of color, while improving relations between the legal profession and the community. The LMBA is a local affiliate of the National Bar Association (NBA), which was founded in 1925 when the American Bar Association was racially segregated and did not allow African-Americans to join. The NBA is the oldest minority bar association and largest organization of African-American attorneys in the United States. The LMBA’s Philip L. Burton Memorial Scholarship is given to deserving law students to assist with Washington State Bar Examination preparation.
