Kermit Roosevelt III of the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law delivered a talk on C-SPAN titled “The Constitution and Declaration of Independence: A Contrary View.”
In his talk, Professor Roosevelt argued that the America of today did not emerge from the Revolution and that U.S. values should not be traced back to the Founders; instead, he argued that through failures and reinventions, the Constitution should be used as a tool to create modern core values.
