“The Many Roads to Reintegration”

Margaret Colgate Love of the Law Office of Margaret Love and David Schlussel, the Deputy Director of the Collateral Consequences Resource Center (CCRC) have published, “’The Many Roads to Reintegration’: A 50-state report on laws restoring rights and opportunities.” The report describes the present landscape of laws in the United States aimed at restoring rights and opportunities after an arrest or conviction. It is an update and refresh of their previous national survey, last revised in 2018.

The report addresses a number of topics including voting and firearms rights, expungement and pardon, and consideration of criminal record in employment and occupational licensing.

The Collateral Consequences Resource Center is a non-profit organization established in 2014 to promote public engagement on the myriad issues raised by the collateral consequences of arrest or conviction.
