Melissa E. Murray of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law has been named interim dean of UC Berkeley School of Law. Dean Murray, currently a professor at the university, will begin her appointment today.
“Melissa Murray is a widely respected scholar and teacher, as renowned for the quality of her scholarship as her engagement with students,” said Chancellor Nicholas Dirks. “She will provide excellent leadership at Berkeley Law as we search for a permanent dean, and we will provide her with every form of support.”
Dean Murray serves as an Adviser on the Project on Sexual & Gender-Based Misconduct on Campus: Procedural Frameworks and Analysis.
