Randall Kennedy to Speak at UVA Law

Randall L. Kennedy of Harvard Law School will deliver the McCorkle Lecture at UVA Law. He will speak on racial justice and the Civil Rights Era from 1950-1970.

Kennedy is the Michael R. Klein Professor at Harvard Law School, where he teaches courses on contracts, criminal law, and the regulation of race relations. He served as a law clerk for J. Skelly Wright of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and for Thurgood Marshall of the U.S. Supreme Court. In 1998, he was awarded the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award for Race, Crime, and the Law.
