Stacy Leeds Is Dean of Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law

The University of Arizona Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law has announced that Stacy L. Leeds will be the school’s next dean. “My vision is to amplify our current strengths of excellence, access and innovation,” said Leeds in the announcement, “but also prioritize wellness in all respects.”
Leeds previously served as dean and vice chancellor for economic development at the University of Arkansas School of Law, becoming the first indigenous woman in the U.S. to serve as a law school dean. She joined Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in 2021 as the Foundation Professor of Law and Leadership, teaching in the Indian Legal Program. Leeds was recently named one of Arizona State University’s Regent Professor, the most prestigious and highest faculty award possible.
Leeds will begin her role as dean on February 1, 2023.
