ALI Member Victor Schwartz of Shook Hardy & Bacon recently debated malpractice lawsuits and civil justice reform with Ralph Nader on the Ralph Nader Radio Hour show. “It is rare in America today where two people with opposing points of view can discuss controversial issues, yet be respectful of each other,” Nader remarked at the close of the show.
Mr. Schwartz is a Life Member of the ALI and was an Adviser on three of ALI’s completed Restatement Third of Torts projects—Products Liability, Apportionment of Liability, and Liability for Physical and Emotional Harm. He currently serves on the Members Consultative Groups for eight ongoing projects, including Torts projects covering Intentional Torts to Persons and Liability for Economic Harm.
