Stephen Higginson is a Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, receiving his commission in 2011. Prior to joining the Fifth Circuit, Judge Higginson was an associate professor at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law (2004-2011), and an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana (1993-2011). He previously worked as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts (1989-1993).
Judge Higginson clerked for Judge Patricia Wald of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, as well as Justice Byron White of the U.S. Supreme Court.
