Podgor
Professor Ellen S Podgor is the Gary R. Trombley Family White-Collar Crime Research Professor and Professor of Law at Stetson University College of Law. A former deputy prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, she teaches in the areas of white collar crime, criminal law, criminal procedure-adjudication, and white collar advocacy. She previously served as Stetson's inaugural Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Electronic Education. She is the co-author of numerous books including the White Collar Crime Hornbook and White Collar Crime in a Nutshell, and has authored more than 80 law review articles and essays in the areas of white collar crime, ethics, computer crimes, and is currently working in the area of artificial intelligence. She is the editor of the White Collar Crime Prof Blog and served as the chair of the advisory committee of the NACDL White-Collar Criminal Defense College at Stetson.
Professor Podgor's service to the legal academy and profession includes six years on the board of directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), three years on the board of directors of the Innocence Project of Florida, and current membership on the board of directors of the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law (ISRCL). She is a past president of the Southeastern Association of Law Schools (SEALS), a past chair of the Association of American Law Schools' (AALS) Sections on Criminal Justice and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Issues, and currently serves as the AALS Membership Review Consultant. Professor Podgor is an honorary member of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers (ABCL).
