Rudy Rodríguez, Jr. is an experienced corporate C-Suite Executive  and longtime litigator. He is Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary of Dave & Buster’s Entertainment, Inc., a national leader in dining and entertainment. The Company operates a system of over 235 Dave & Buster’s and Main Event locations in 43 US states, Canada, Puerto Rico, India, and the Philippines.

 

At Dave & Buster’s, Rudy is responsible for corporate governance, board and committee support, SEC reporting and compliance. He leads the Legal and Compliance functions, which provide legal services, including transactional support, litigation management, real estate support, employment counsel, and regulatory compliance. He also oversees the Risk Management team, directing business insurance, safety, and loss prevention programs; Business Licensing, ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements; and Asset Protection, safeguarding the Company's financial resources and investigating losses.

From 2014 to 2023, Rudy was Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer, and Corporate Secretary of CEC Entertainment, Inc., which has over 12,000 employees in over 650 Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza restaurants in 47 states and 19 foreign countries or territories. Rudy’s legal organization provided strategic legal business advice to the Company’s Board of Directors, officers, and managers. As head of the Company's Human Resources department, Rudy led the Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, HRIS), HR Compliance and Corporate and Field Human Resources functions. His organization also included the Company’s Risk Management and Licensing groups.

 

A graduate of Texas A&M University and Harvard Law School, Rudy practiced commercial and employment litigation at several Dallas law firms, as well as in the legal departments of American Airlines and J.C. Penney Corporation. He was Vice President and General Counsel of American Eagle Airlines from 2000 to 2003. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Trees Foundation, is President of the Denton High School Family Assistance Foundation, and is active in several other industry and legal organizations.

 

Rudy lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Stacy (who is Deputy Chief of Litigation for the Dallas City Attorney's Office). They have two grown children, Grace and Jimmy.
