Scharff
Spencer G. Scharff is the founder of Scharff PC, a commercial litigation firm representing public and private businesses, nonprofit organizations, executives, professionals, and individuals in complex disputes in state and federal courts in Arizona and California. His practice focuses on high-stakes commercial litigation, regulatory disputes, constitutional and civil rights matters, health care litigation, and appellate advocacy.
Before founding Scharff PC, Mr. Scharff practiced complex litigation with firms in Los Angeles and Phoenix, representing clients in commercial, regulatory, constitutional, appellate, and tort matters.
Mr. Scharff served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary M. Schroeder and the Honorable Andrew D. Hurwitz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Scharff received his bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where he served as Executive Note Editor of the Arizona Law Review and as the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Arizona Journal of Environmental Law & Policy. He received the Pima County Bar Association’s John Hawkins Professionalism Award and the ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award.
Mr. Scharff has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2020, including in the 2026 edition for Commercial Litigation, Appellate Practice, Civil Rights Law, and Health Care Law. He is admitted to practice in Arizona, California, New York, and the District of Columbia.
