Two of the Institute's projects, Restatement of the Law Third, Torts: Intentional Torts to Persons and Model Penal Code: Sexual Assault and Related Offenses have been the focus of two recent pieces in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times.

The Restatement of the Law Third, Torts: Intentional Torts to Persons Tentative Draft, including Section 103, was approved with the understanding that the Reporters will modify the text of the Tentative Draft in light of the discussion at the Annual Meeting. Additionally, Section 103 will be submitted for a vote by the Council and membership the next time that other portions of the project are up for approval.
The New York Times op-ed titled "Regulating Sex" states that "Perhaps the most consequential deliberations about affirmative consent are going on right now at the American Law Institute."

Reporters will also be revising the Model Penal Code draft in light of the discussion at the Annual Meeting, which will be submitted to the ALI Council before it will be submitted at the 2016 Annual Meeting.
