Struve
Catherine T. Struve Catherine Struve teaches and researches in the fields of civil procedure and federal courts. From 2006 to 2015 she served as Reporter to the Judicial Conference Advisory Committee on Appellate Rules, and from 2019 to 2026 she served as Reporter to the Judicial Conference Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure.
She won the University of Pennsylvania's Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching in 2024 and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School’s Harvey Levin Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2003, 2009, 2015, and 2025.
She was elected to the ALI in 2006 and was elected to the Council 2010; she became an Emeritus Member of the Council in 2025. She served as an Adviser on the Restatement Third, The Law of American Indians project.
