Lynk
Myles V. Lynk, has served on the Council of the American Law Institute and is the recipient of the American Bar Association's ("ABA's") Michael Franck Award for excellence in professional responsibility and legal ethics, and the Father Robert F. Drinan Award for his support of civil rights and social justice. Myles is Dean of the Emeritus College at Arizona State University ("ASU") and Professor Emeritus of Law and the Legal Profession at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of law at ASU. From 2019 through 2022 Myles served in the District of Columbia Office of Disciplinary Counsel as the Senior Assistant Disciplinary Counsel in charge of appellate litigation. From 2000 to 2019 Myles was the Peter Kiewit Foundation Professor of Law and the Legal Profession at ASU, specializing in civil procedure, business organizations and legal ethics. Among his public service activities, Myles served on the Civil Rules Advisory Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States and was elected President of the District of Columbia Bar. In the ABA he chaired the Section of Civil rights and Social Justice, the Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility and the Standing Committee on Professional Regulation. Prior to academia, Myles was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Dewey Ballantine LLP. In the Carter Administration he served as an Assistant Director on the White House Domestic Policy Staff and as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare. After law school Myles clerked for Judge Damon J. Keith on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
